An honours graduate from the University of Ireland, Dr Nanda received specialty training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He then underwent advanced subspecialty training at Boston, USA, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre, deepening his knowledge of inflammatory bowel disease. Dr Nana gained his qualifications in therapeutic endoscopy at Sydney's Westmead Hospital Endoscopy Unit.

Dr. Nanda maintains a particular interest in functional disorders of the gut, pancreaticobiliary diseases, therapeutic endoscopy procedures (including luminal stenting, mucosal resection, EUS and, ERCP), open access endoscopy, colorectal cancer screening, and all types of inflammatory bowel disease.

In addition to his busy gastroenterology practice, Dr Nanda keeps active as a highly respected researcher in the fields of both gastroenterology and endoscopy. A former clinical tutor at Harvard Medical School and the University of Sydney, he currently serves as senior lecturer at the University of Queensland.
