Meet Dr. Kavin Nanda

Gastroenterologist & Therapeutic Endoscopist
Dr Kavin Nanda is a Brisbane gastroenterologist and therapeutic endoscopist. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. After graduating with honours from the National University of Ireland, he completed Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology training in Dublin, Ireland. He then undertook subspecialty training in inflammatory bowel disease at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre in Boston, USA. In 2012 he moved to Australia to further train in therapeutic endoscopy at the world renowned Westmead Hospital Endoscopy unit in Sydney.
He moved to Queensland in 2014. He has a private practice based in Brisbane city as well as being a Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist at the Mater Hospital Brisbane and QE II hospital. He is also a visiting Gastroenterologist to regional QLD (Rockhampton area).
Dr. Nanda's areas of interest include: inflammatory bowel disease, Pancreatic disease and Biliary disease, colorectal cancer screening, complex polypectomy and quality measures in endoscopy.
Academic and Researcher
Dr Nanda is an accomplished and active researcher, with numerous publications in his areas of interest. He is currently a senior lecturer with the University of Queensland.
He was also a clinical tutor for the University of Sydney and Harvard Medical School, Boston MA.
